Specifics
Students must pay the incidental fee directly to Curtin University Perth. The incidental fee is around 100 - 200 AUD.
Even if public transport in Perth is very good (also going by bike is no problem at all), students might think of the possibility to buy a car to travel around.
Academic Matters
In most courses there are no exams but assessments (3-4 per unit). Please be aware of the strict deadlines here! There will also be a study break, where students don't have any units and will have the time to travel around and explore the country.

Specifics
There is a special enrolment and orientation program conducted by Monash Abroad for Study Abroad students each semester and it is compulsory for all students to attend. An exception can be made where a student will not complete their home institution exams in time to make this date. The Monash Abroad orientation is separate from the international orientation (for full course international students) and the general University orientation (for all commencing students).
Academic Matters
You will attend regular courses that have been recognized by Macromedia. You will attend these courses along with students from the partner university. According to Monash University the workload for 4 courses is sufficient, it is therefore not recommended to attend additional courses.

Accommodation
On Campus
ICMS offers students the opportunity to live on campus (limited spaces), with priority given to finding spots for international students. Single, double and triple rooms are on offer. The rooms are functionally equipped and are cleaned weekly. Each floor has common areas with cooking facilities and sanitary facilities. Please note that mixed-gender occupancy of the rooms as well as evening and night-time visitors to the rooms (including family members) are not allowed. Alcohol is subject to strict regulation in the halls of residence. Please note that the fees for the entire semester will be due prior to arrival. Macromedia students do not have to pay any deposit, however, due to our cooperation agreement with ICMS. We will open a survey and give you the chance to reserve a spot in ICMS' dorms (will be announced by email). The list will be handed over to ISO Europe. They will then contact you informing you about the next steps. Applications will only be considered after handing in a complete application! Rooms are usually shared and equipped with bunk beds. This will be arranged from one week prior to O-Week and until the end of the Student Visa - the OSHC costs around 259 AUD (Fee subject to change).
Specifics
ICMS attaches great importance to training students for the job market. The college's Professional Performance Program also includes a requirement for business attire to be worn during class hours (at least from 8.00am-5.00pm). While there is no uniform per se, the dress code is still quite precise: Men should wear black socks, dress pants, shirt (no polo shirts) and shiny black shoes with laces. Women should wear suit pants or knee-length skirt, blouse, black or beige tights, shiny black shoes with low heels.
The clothes can be brought with you, but you will also have the chance to order them locally during orientation week. You will need at least one business outfit for orientation week, however.
Fees for text books might apply, average 450 AUD
International students doing a semester abroad at ICMS can opt to participate in the six-day International Cultural Immersion Program. This is normally offered each year in September in a different location in Australia. Costs and information will be provided by ISO Europe at the beginning of the semester. For any questions regarding the ICMS or the application process, the International Student Office bureau in Darmstadt will gladly assist you.
In addition to the extensive sports facilities, ICMS offers its students numerous other opportunities for leisure activities, including day and weekend excursions into the surrounding area and cultural events such as visits to the opera or movie night.
Academic Matters
You will attend regular courses that have been recognized by Macromedia. You will attend courses along with other students from the partner university or customized courses for Macromedia's Students. Please be aware of the attendance policy. Students will not only have final exams at ICMS but also mid term exams.
ICMS maintains close contacts with business and industry in Australia and enjoys an excellent reputation as a business school. The college's focus is on business, management and tourism, which should be of particular interest to Macromedia students in the media and communications management programmes.

Brisbanes public transport network is well connected and students have access to free shuttle bus between the campuses and free night shuttle around the the campus.

QUT guarantees accommodation for study abroad and exchange students in one of the nearby student residential complexes.
Brisbane has a variety of accommodation for students, from purpose-built, in the centre of the city (5 minutes from QUT campuses) to rental apartments, there are many options available.
