There is the opportunity to participate in an intensive Spanish course before classes begin. This course is not part of the semester abroad. You would need to apply separately for this course; it costs approx. 680 €.
The course consists of 80 lessons and numerous trips and weekend activities.

You can take courses in communication, journalism, advertising, PR and design at UFV. The university works hard to integrate students and those interested in media activities. For example, it organises the annual Summer Media School with 200 student participants. In addition, UFV has a very well-equipped media lab (including recording studio, news studio, etc.). In addition to these efforts in media, UFV is strongly committed to ensuring that its students have access to a lot of sporting activities, such as Spanish dance.

Accommodation

  • Student dormitories are available in Sevilla and the International Office of EUSA can initially guide visiting students in locating their best options for this type of accommodation.
  • Youniq Residence Hall, a popular housing option located at a walking distance from the EUSA campus, in the student suburb of San Bernado. More information here.
  • Housing and additional components - EUSA offers an additonal components package, which includes housing (host families and shared apartments) and other services. More information here.
  • Host families - Students choosing to live with a Spanish host family will typically be provided with a room (shared or independent depending on agreement with provider), full board and cleaning/laundry service. The International Office of EUSA has a list of monitored families that have traditionally housed international students. Depending on availability, the International Office will supply the student contact information for a family before or after arriving in Seville. It is important for students to know that living with families from Seville does not necessarily imply that they will have less freedom than students living in other modes of housing. This is a common misconception, as students requesting home-stays enjoy total freedom as they can enter and leave the apartment whenever they please. It is true, however, that there might be some common sense coexistence norms to be discussed with the families.
  • Shared apartments - Sharing an apartment with Spanish or other international students is a frequently sought option in study abroad. Students are invited to first check all available advertisements on the internet and then come to the International Office of EUSA for further assistance in contacting providers and arranging to meet flat-mates.

Health Insurance

Students must take out a valid health insurance to study at EUSA. (Preferred: EHIC) Keep in mind that EHIC (European Health Insurance Card) provided by the German compulsory health insurances does not cover repatriation and many treatments abroad.

Specifics
